Ghana's oil production averaged 116,000 barrels per day in the first quarter of 2023, down from 138,000 b/d in 2022 and 150,800 b/d in 2021. Drilling of new wells in the Jubilee area took place in 2022, but the additional output was not able to match the rate of depletion in existing fields, including those in the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN) area. Reserves were steady at 2.1 billion bbl in 2021.
