Shoulder Season Dynamics Undercut Gas Market Rally

October gas futures sank 6.4¢ Friday to $2.644 per million Btu. During the week, gas market bulls made repeated attempts to sustain momentum from Tuesday’s 13.5¢ rally, but were ultimately undercut by signs of the approaching shoulder season. The October contract ended the week just 3.9¢ higher.
