China’s products supply is likely to rise this month, lifted by what a Chinese analyst describes as an expected increase in Chinese refining runs in September. China’s biggest refiners, Sinopec and PetroChina, are believed to have raised their September runs by more than 1% from August. Refiners expect domestic product demand to improve in September and October, which are traditionally peak demand season. But halfway into September, demand does not appear to have increased, the analyst added, noting that some Chinese cities have been hit by heavy rains from a typhoon, in addition to sluggish economic activity.
