A $1 billion carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) project that has been shuttered since May 2020 restarted operations last week, according to its owner, JX Nippon, giving a second chance to a project meant to show that the nascent technology is viable at a larger scale.

But the unions are still reviewing the Fair Work Commission's recommendations with an outcome due Friday.
