US Sanctions Hit Russia's Arctic LNG 2, Transshipment Projects

The US on Thursday imposed sanctions on companies related to Novatek’s Arctic LNG 2 project, further complicating Russia’s LNG expansion ambitions. The sanctions also target Novatek’s Murmansk and Kamchatka LNG transshipment terminals, which are preparing to start operations along with Arctic LNG 2 at the end of this year.
