A lawsuit filed this week against Delta Air Lines in the US could make it more difficult for airlines to prove their sustainability credentials are legitimate. It may also unleash a torrent of similar legal actions in the US and around the world that challenge the strategies that airlines are using to reduce aircraft emissions.
