Advanced reactor developer Newcleo has pledged to invest €3 billion ($3.2 billion) in France by 2030 via the construction of a new mixed-oxide (Mox) fuel plant and a 30-megawatt-electrical lead fast reactor. Should it succeed, the company would upend France's state-dominated nuclear sector within a decade of its founding in September 2021.
