China's long-awaited reopening had yet to make an impact on global jet fuel demand in February with consumption still stuck in its winter rut. Buying in a group of representative countries tracked by Energy Intelligence was unchanged on the month at 3 million b/d in February. Europe was a rare bright spot with demand rising more than 6% month on month in the UK, France and Italy after school holidays coincided with a break in the region's ongoing industrial action. Buying was flat in the US where the earlier Covid-19 recovery is running out of steam. US jet demand climbed just 8% year on year compared to 50% or more in other industrialized nations.
