One year after the departure of most Western oil-field service (OFS) majors, Russian companies have done their best to fill the vacuum, building up their portfolios and boosting their competence. But even with support from the state and oil companies, experts say that Russia still lacks high-tech solutions that would be crucial for the future development of the country's oil and gas industry.
