China Advances Wind Power

China's largest highland wind power project was put into operation this week. With a total installed capacity of 800 MW and 135 wind turbines, located in Fuyuan County, Zhanyi District and Qilin District of Qujing City, it was built and financed by China's State Power Investment Corporation. After commissioning, the facility is expected to generate 1.96 billion kWh of electricity per year, providing electricity for more than 1.23 million households.
