As a result of those different currents, the boom in US exports is abating. US diesel exports currently total about 1.1 million barrels per day versus roughly 1.7 million b/d at the same time last year, according to US Energy Information Administration data. In January, the latest month for which official data is available, US diesel exports averaged 940,000 b/d, the lowest monthly volume since September 2021.
