May gas futures jumped 16.1¢ Monday to $2.275 per million Btu as forecasts turned colder and LNG feedgas demand set an all-time high of 14.85 billion cubic feet per day over the weekend. Gelber & Associates analysts said Northeast US temperatures are forecast to fall to 60% to 70% below normal from Apr. 24-30. “Despite the shoulder season, the market is closely watching any indication of a strong pricing trend,” the analysts said.
