Market volatility may be temporarily stymying M&A activity across much of North America’s shale sector, but not in Western Canada. The region’s gas-rich Montney Shale has seen a burst of consolidation that shows little sign of abating, thanks to impending access to LNG exports, industry officials and analysts say.
