Oil firms in Iraq’s semiautonomous Kurdistan region were preparing to shut in production after Turkey halted some 450,000 barrels per day of piped crude exports in response to the federal Iraqi government’s victory last week in a landmark arbitration case against Turkish pipeline operator Botas.
