Global benchmark dated Brent struggles to gain traction in a market awash with supply, keeping buyers on the sidelines. Brent is trading May deliveries for processing after the spring turnarounds. But crude’s physical market is barely warming up despite the anticipation of the gasoline season, due to kick off in May. A weaker macroeconomic outlook weighs on demand, capping any price upside. Not helping the mood are fast-rising crude inventories.
