Electric vehicle (EV) sales in China rebounded in February as buyers snapped up 525,000 units of pure-battery, plug-in hybrid and fuel-cell electric models for a 56% year-on-year rise, latest data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) show. This followed a weak showing in January when EV sales retreated by 6% year on year due to the Lunar New Year lull and negative impact from termination of central government subsidies as of Jan. 1.
