New LNG import projects in Bangladesh and Pakistan are hanging in the balance following a drop off in LNG imports last year as well as twin fiscal crises hitting Dhaka and Islamabad. Both nations are facing a foreign exchange crunch, particularly acute in Pakistan, reducing the available cash to fund expensive fossil fuel imports, such as LNG.
