Norway’s state oil and gas company Equinor is targeting a final investment decision for its pre-salt BM-C-33 gas and condensate development in Brazil by the end of this year, an executive told an industry conference last week. Brazil's pre-salt reservoirs are considered a massive prize, but so far production has been dominated by easier-to-transport oil. Capturing the gas for domestic use has been trickier due to technical challenges as well as the remote location of the fields.
