US Gas Prices Sink on Weather, But Recovery May Loom

April gas futures began this week by plunging 43.7¢ as moderating weather forecasts took the steam out of last week’s rally to $3 per million Btu. The contract skidded mostly sideways before tumbling 11.3¢ on Friday to settle at $2.43/MMBtu, a one-week decline of 57.8¢.
