Russia Prepares Ground to Boost Energy Revenues

Russia is preparing the legal groundwork to enable the formulation of a better price assessment of its crude oil, which should help the budget mitigate a sharp decline in oil and gas revenues caused by Western restrictions. The country’s energy earnings showed a modest increase in February after a decline in January, but are still well below prewar levels.
