Russian Military Boosts Fuel Usage as Ukraine War Escalates

In preparation for the spring offensive in Ukraine, Russia’s defense ministry has been ramping up direct purchases of jet fuel in the past three months. Large deliveries have also gone to four southern airports that are closed to civil aviation but apparently used for military purposes, suggesting an even larger fuel offtake for the war effort in Ukraine.
