LNG demand should remain robust over the long term despite turbulence from the Ukraine crisis, according to our latest 2040 supply-demand forecast. But higher local gas production, faster adoption of renewables or a resurgence from nuclear or coal — encouraged by high LNG prices — could still cut into that trajectory.
