Methane emission reduction pledges are gaining traction this year, but many experts fear that without a market-focused benchmark, emissions will continue to increase. Non-profit MiQ has established a methane emissions certification standard and a global database at asset level, so companies evaluate and share the emissions intensity of their assets. MiQ Chief Executive Georges Tijbosch tells Energy Intelligence how their certification standard works and how it could drive methane reduction action.
