BlackRock is once again under fire over its environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies that have pushed a number of policymakers in oil-producing states to call for public funds to divest their holdings with the investment giant. But this latest salvo has been launched by a little-known European activist investor that accuses BlackRock CEO Larry Fink of enacting inconsistent policies and alienating clients by using ESG as a political agenda.
