Today's energy crisis is reinforcing the energy transition while causing some short-term setbacks — but overall it's different than the crisis from 50 years ago because alternatives are available to build up. That's a key message from Francesco La Camera, director-general of the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena), who holds one of the widest-ranging views of the global clean energy sector. Energy Intelligence's Rafiq Latta caught up with La Camera at COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
