Newbuild: Shunned in Europe, Rosatom Redoubles on Africa

Rosatom has been shunned from most newbuild markets in central and eastern Europe, but the Russian state nuclear champion is making an aggressive pitch in developing countries contemplating nuclear power. Nowhere is this drive more apparent than in Africa, and at the recently-concluded COP27 climate talks in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, Rosatom hosted a "Nuclear Energy in Africa" panel to make its case.
