SiemensGamesa aims to build up a proven track record for green hydrogen through pilot projects, hoping to find ways to scale it up and capture some of the big gray hydrogen market. But the Spanish-German wind engineering company also knows that building out both the supply and demand sides for green hydrogen will take time. Poul Skjaerbaek, chief innovation and product officer at the company's renewable division, shared with Energy Intelligence how the company is pursuing growth opportunities in the space.
