Asian Prices Drop Amid Comfortable Inventories in Japan

Spot LNG prices into Northeast Asia have dropped by $2 to $38 per million Btu to their lowest levels since late July, according to World Gas Intelligence assessments for deliveries four to eight weeks ahead. Spot prices in Southwest Europe fell by $3.40 to $35.40/MMBtu, their lowest level since Jun. 20. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price fell by $19.10 week on week to $18.93/MMBtu, while the October front-month NBP ICE contract was down $6.56 at $25.72/MMBtu.
