The battle for a slice of Phase 2 of Qatar’s 48 million ton per year LNG mega-expansion has begun. TotalEnergies was selected last weekend as the first equity partner in the 16 million ton/yr North Field South (NFS) project. Industry scrutiny is now firmly on who will be next and where all this new low-carbon LNG supply is headed.
