US October gas futures ended the week down 26.1¢ Friday at $6.828 per million Btu after a two-session, 95.1¢ nosedive crashed through a $7 floor for the first time in two months. The catalyst: well-above consensus storage data reported Thursday that awoke sleeping bears. The 12-month strip fell 9.2¢ to $5.972; the 2023 calendar strip was down 3.4¢ at $5.556 (Futures contracts).
