US sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producers are designing their projects to cut as much carbon from SAF as possible to maximize the benefits of the blender's tax credit (BTC) in new legislation. They can ultimately earn a higher market price, since the BTC in the Inflation Reduction Act ranges from $1.25-$1.75 per gallon depending on carbon savings.
