Russia’s Gazprom has been forced to accelerate its search for new markets for its natural gas as a complete halt of supplies to Europe triggered by either side seems likelier than ever. Apart from pushing for new long-term supply contracts with China, Gazprom is looking for more opportunities in Central Asia and is considering more exotic schemes, an industry insider tells Energy Intelligence.
