September gas futures lost an early surge into the $9.60s to end Friday's session 7.9¢ lower at $9.296 per million Btu, down 4¢ for the week. The 12-month strip was down 2.6¢ to $7.70; the 2023 calendar strip rose 1.8¢ to $6.564 (Futures contracts).
