September gas futures continued to flag Friday as this week's bearish storage data trumps news of Freeport LNG's expected return in October. The prompt month fell 5.8¢ to $8.064 per million Btu, down 16.5¢ for the week. The 12-month strip fell 3.1¢ to $$6.626; the 2023 calendar strip was down 1¢ at $5.603 (Futures contracts).
