EU Seeks Further Gas Tweaks to Fit for 55

The EU’s "Fit for 55" legislative package is being further refined with a significant impact on the role of gas in the region. The package sets a 55% reduction target in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 against 1990 levels, alongside a 30% reduction in fossil gas consumption by 2030 versus 2015 through the support of renewable and low-carbon gases.
