"The idea is to say we all agree that cutting emissions must remain the top priority because in the long run it's the only way to safely and reliably address climate change, but in the meantime we'll look at additional approaches, such as enhancing and accelerating adaptation, removing carbon dioxide from the air, and possibly what we call sunlight reflection methods (SRM)," says Jesse Reynolds, the commission's executive secretary.
