US Gas Prices Settling Into Lower Range With or Without Freeport

July gas futures continued its plunge in early trading Friday, testing lows just shy of $6 per million Btu before pulling back from the brink. The prompt month entered the weekend with a 1.9¢ loss at $6.22/MMBtu. But it was also down 72.4¢ for the week and off more than $3.00 since a Jun. 8 accident shut down Freeport LNG in Texas.
