European markets continue to adjust to the de facto ban on Russian diesel as traders shun its oil exports. Benchmark price reporter S&P Platts has announced it will exclude Russian-origin fuel from its main European ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) and gasoil cargo assessments from the start of next month, sparking midweek panic in the region's huge Platts-indexed swaps market.
