Large oil and gas companies are increasingly setting net-zero emissions goals and ramping up spending on low-carbon technologies, but they aren’t going far enough to reduce absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions if the most dramatic impacts of global warming are to be avoided, according to a new report from the Carbon Tracker Initiative.
