Tensions are rising around Russian gas exports to Europe. Ukraine on May 11 cut the capacity for supplies transiting its territory, while the EU remains undecided on Moscow’s new gas payment scheme. Moscow added pressure by imposing reciprocal sanctions on the same day against Polish and German gas infrastructure and distribution companies.
