A record €41 billion ($44 billion) was invested in wind power in the EU and UK last year. But problems are surfacing, including the emergence of unsustainable "bubbles" in key markets where too many developers are competing for too few projects. With the European majors building up their wind portfolios as they pivot to clean energy, all are keeping a close eye on developments.
