A January setback erased two months of growth in North American jet fuel demand. Consumption in the US, Canada and Mexico fell back to 1.56 million b/d with the end of year-end holidays that had pushed usage to a post-pandemic high in December. US jet liftings fell back to 1.4 million b/d amid fewer long-haul flights out of airports on the East and West coasts. Canadian demand dropped by nearly a third from its year-end peak. Mexican usage fell slightly to 64,000 b/d.
