US gas has seemingly lost its brakes as the May contract soared an additional 36.5¢, or 5.7% Monday to end the session at $6.643 per million Btu. The prompt month gas contract has risen more than $2/MMBtu since the rally took off Mar. 10 to the highest levels in 13 years.
