The spot uranium price gained $2.34 this week as support grew among lawmakers on both sides of the Atlantic for more sanctions on Russia's energy economy. Energy Intelligence's Uranium Price Panel delivered an average assessment of $58.34 per pound U3O8 for Mar. 24, up from $56/lb. a week earlier. But while US and EU nuclear fuel buyers continue to avoid any disruption to incoming Russian nuclear fuel supplies, nearly all buyers are still scrambling to secure alternate supplies.
