Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc) has signed agreements with companies in Germany to accelerate and deepen collaboration in clean hydrogen. The deals were signed during a visit of Germany’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck to the United Arab Emirates. Individual agreements were signed with German companies including Aurubis, RWE, Getec and Steag to explore opportunities for collaboration in low-carbon and renewable hydrogen derivatives. A Joint Study Agreement was also signed between Adnoc and Hydrogenious, Uniper and Jera to explore hydrogen transportation between the two countries using Hydrogenious’ Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier technology. Adnoc signed a memorandum of understanding too with Hamburg-based logistics and transportation company HHLA and AD Ports Group to work on realizing Hamburg’s ambition to become a hydrogen import hub.
