It is widely agreed that hydrogen has a significant role to play in the energy transition and in broader efforts to decarbonize industry. More contentious is the debate over how aggressively developers should push directly into “green” hydrogen powered by renewables, or whether the hydrogen economy can be catapulted forward faster with the help of “blue” hydrogen fueled by natural gas with carbon capture.
