The latest cold blast is moving across the Upper Midwest into the Northeast, edging heating demand higher than had been expected when the contract fell into the $3.90s/MMBtu last weekend. The contract has gained 36.5¢ in the past two sessions. The 12-month strip rose 7.6¢ to $4.421; the 2023 calendar strip was up 2.4¢ at $3.732 (Futures contracts).
