Russia-Ukraine Crisis Keeps Spot Prices on the Boil

Northeast Asian spot LNG prices rose $1 to $28 per million Btu, according to World Gas Intelligence assessments for deliveries four to eight weeks ahead. Spot prices in Southwest Europe were assessed 30¢ higher at $25.40/MMBtu. The UK National Balancing Point day-ahead price was assessed 44¢ higher at $25.40/MMBtu, while the ICE March contract dropped 12¢ to $26.11/MMBtu. Netbacks for Mideast sellers in Asia were about $1.45/MMBtu higher than in Southwest Europe, while UK/Belgian netbacks were $2.75/MMBtu lower than in Asia.
