Natural gas liquids (NGLs) output has been cruising near all-time highs in the Permian Basin, led by ethane -- a vital feedstock for the burgeoning petrochemical complexes on the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast. But unlike a few years ago, when a growing surplus pummeled ethane prices, the market is expected to absorb all of that supply and more.
