Aftershocks from the historic Jan. 27 February contract expiration continued jolting Nymex gas this week as a heady short squeeze blasted the March contract to $5.501 per million Btu on Wednesday. But bears won the week as the moonshot was followed by a two-session, 92.9¢ loss that sent the contract into the $4.50s in what could be the coldest weekend of the year.
